We usually have a number of undergraduate students working in the lab as volunteer research assistants (RAs). These RAs play a vital role in our research and are involved in many aspects of the research process. Tasks that RAs may be involved in include: library research, assisting with the design and development of research materials, data collection, data entry, and data coding. We require a time commitment of a minimum of 5-8 hours per week; however, a commitment of 8-10 hours per week is preferred.
We are most interested in people who would be able to commit to working with us for at least 2 semesters. Preferred qualifications include: psychology major, completion of PSYC 201 and 210, computer skills in word processing, spreadsheet, email, and library searches, an interest in intergroup relations and environmental psychology, an interest in graduate studies, and an ability to work independently as well as with others.
Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 precautions, the SISC Lab is currently very quiet, and we do not have opportunities for volunteer RAs at the moment. Please check back in the future!
